I am a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with a person-centred approach.
My goal is to build strong connections with those I support, empowering them to reach their full potential on their rehabilitation journey.
I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Linguistics from Bangor University and an MSc in Language Pathology from Newcastle University.
Since qualifying, I have gained extensive experience in both NHS and private settings, including Circle Rehabilitation in Birmingham.
My expertise spans adult-focused care across acute, community, and neurological settings (e.g., Parkinson’s, MS, MND, voice disorders, and stroke).
I specialise in stroke rehabilitation, where I bring advanced skills and knowledge.
In March 2017, I completed postgraduate training in Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) in Durham. This specialised qualification allows me to help clients enhance their voice and speech quality effectively.
My passion for supporting individuals who have experienced a stroke was ignited during my work within the NHS.
This has become a key focus of my practice, and I am dedicated to providing tailored, high-quality support in this area.
During the pandemic, I played a pivotal role in establishing a local NHS-based Speech Therapist Clinical Stroke Network.
This initiative allowed me to stay at the forefront of clinical developments, strengthen regional service links, and enhance patient pathways. As a result, I contributed to a smoother, more effective, and higher-quality rehabilitation journey for patients.
With extensive experience in adult neuro and stroke-related speech, language, and swallowing disorders, I confidently support clients in these areas, as well as those with voice disorders.
I am fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold memberships with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
